A corner built on the cornerstone
Every home has a corner where the precious things are kept: a shelf of favourite books, a bedside table, a drawer of keepsakes. The Jesus Corner is that kind of place, built around The One the Bible calls the cornerstone.
It is a one-stop home for Christ-centred things to read, write in, wear and give. Books for little ones and for grown-ups, prayer journals and daily planners with a verse for every day, small gifts and keepsakes, and in time, clothing. Each piece is chosen to point back to Him.
Where it begins
The first piece in the Corner is a book for children.
Children grow up with superheroes and imaginary friends. Founder Meladi Maditsi wrote Jesus, my best friend to introduce them to a friend who is real: one who loves everyone and walks with them through every adventure.
It is a simple book on purpose. It is meant to plant a seed, so that from a young age a child knows that growing, dreaming and finding peace all begin with a friendship with Jesus. The watercolour paintings are by Gerda Smit.
It is the first of a series, with the next book already being written.
